Welcome to the Ladies section at Gosfield Lake Golf Club.

You can be sure of a friendly welcome from the Ladies section, whether new to the game of golf or a seasoned player there are plenty of opportunities for the full range of handicaps.

Tuesday is Ladies competition day with tees reserved on both courses for Ladies only. If Ladies cannot play in a competition on any particular Tuesday, they can usually play on the preceding Saturday. If there is no competition then social golf is played.

Competitions include Monthly Medals and Stablefords, Major Trophies, plus LGU National and County Competitions with some fun team events too. The Ladies Section run two County teams, Silver Trophy (team of 5 players of handicaps 10) and Bronze (team of 7 players of handicaps 19). There are several inter-club matches played throughout the year both home and away. In addition there is a varied program of mixed events.

For those without a handicap, it is necessary to submit three cards marked “For Handicap”, the total number of shots taken having been recorded - all three cards must be signed by player with a recognised handicap and must be placed in the “Competitions Cards” box in the Ladies locker room. The Ladies Handicap Secretary will advise when a handicap has been gained.
