Society Days @ Gosfield Lake
**At Gosfield Lake Golf Club, we believe in making our society days a fun and relaxing experience. There will always be a friendly greeting on arrival. You and your group will be looked after throughout the day by our experienced team. From start to finish we will do everything to make your golf day a day to remember and leave you wanting to return again.
For visitors and societies a golf day at Gosfield has always been a popular choice. Many visitors and societies visit each year, some more than once per annum. The courses are mature and each year additional investment is made to ensure the quality of golf is excellent.
Visitors are assured of a warm welcome in the clubhouse with good food and friendly bar staff. Special rates apply in early and late season for individual golfers or small groups.
We offer packages for all sizes and budgets. Depending on the size of the society, we can offer a range of golfing formats from shot gun starts, tees from the 1st and 10th, 18 / 27 or 36 holes (on two different courses), nearest pin / longest drive markers (by default), side competitions (for those who like a little bet!) and any other activities that we think will make a memorable day for your group.
Having 27 holes offers great opportunity for societies, with the option to play a combination of 9 or 18 holes before and after lunch giving society organisers the chance to mix up pairings and formats should they so desire.
You can select the package that you require, which meets your budget requirements. A number of options can be arranged from a full day including breakfast, lunch, dinner, golf and a presentations to a less demanding day with a coffee and bacon roll start with golf and drinks during an informal presentation.
There are two courses at Gosfield, the Lakes Course and the Meadows Course. Both Courses were designed by Sir Henry Cotton, with the challenging 14th Hole on the Championship Lakes Course being his favourite. The Meadows Course was built to allow newcomers to golf or juniors to enjoy golf over a shorter course without to many hazards to spoil the score or the enjoyment.
