Welcome to the Lakes Men's section of Gosfield Lake Golf Club.

Through our Competitions Committee we organise and run an extensive program of competitions throughout the year. These include our ‘Majors’ plus Medals, Stablefords, Pairs and Mixed events. Generally speaking these take place over the weekend but there are also monthly midweek competitions.

In addition we have teams playing in various county competitions as well as friendly inter-club matches. These cover a range of handicaps making them accessible to all.

Full competition details and how to enter are shown on the noticeboard in the Men’s changing room. In addition, as a Member, you will receive a diary listing all competitions and social events for the playing year. The Club has also invested in Club V1 (Howdidido) system providing an easy, intuitive 'App-based' competition entry and score booking system with additional PSI (player score input) located in the Men's changing room and Clubhouse Bar.

For those that can make it there is a ‘Tuesday Swindle’ played over 9 holes which runs from early April until the end of September, starting at 3:30 pm with all the entry money going to the placed players.

Full members can play on any day but will need to observe any teeing arrangements and of course can also take on the challenge of the Meadows.

New members who have yet to get an official handicap need to get one in order to enter competitions. To gain a handicap, it is necessary to submit three cards marked “For Handicap”, the total number of shots taken having been recorded - all three cards must be signed by an existing male member with an active handicap.
